Plain English, not legalese. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and what we don't.

This app is designed for children, but children never give us any information — there's nothing for them to type in, sign up for, or send us. Names, ages, stars, badges and game progress are entered and stored only in the app's local storage on that device: never transmitted to us, never seen by us, never stored on any server. The games all work fully offline once installed. The only information we ever collect is described below, and it always comes from a parent or guardian, never a child.
We comply with children's privacy laws, including COPPA in the US and the equivalent UK/EU rules. Because we never collect personal information from a child — only an adult's email address, and only when that adult chooses to provide it — no parental consent process is needed for data collection from a child, since none takes place. If you ever believe a child has provided us with information directly, please contact us at familytravelapp@outlook.com and we will delete it immediately.
We only ever ask a parent or guardian for an email — when you build a pack or unlock the full app — never a child. We use it to send your pack's link and unlock code, and (with your knowledge, never hidden in small print) to add you to our occasional email updates about new features. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works instantly.
Your email, the unlock code itself, and a random device ID (not your name or any other personal detail) so a code can be shared across up to 5 family devices and revoked if it's ever misused. We never see or store your payment card details — purchases are handled entirely by Payhip, our payment provider, on their own secure checkout page.
Only the services that help us run the app: Netlify (hosting and secure storage), Resend (sending emails) and Payhip (payments). None of them are permitted to use your data for their own marketing, and we never sell or share it with advertisers.
There are no third-party adverts or tracking/analytics scripts anywhere in the app — just a single anonymous "app opened" count on first use, with no personal data attached, so we know roughly how many devices use it.
You can ask us to see, correct or delete any data we hold about you, or unsubscribe from emails, at any time. Just contact familytravelapp@outlook.com and we'll sort it promptly.
If this policy changes, the update will appear here and in the app's Terms & Conditions screen. We won't change how your data is used without saying so clearly first.
